L’herbe est toujours plus verte

« L’herbe est toujours plus verte » is a theater piece from the Collectif Inouite (Anna Nitchaeff & Lucie Kohler) made in 2013.

Max the rat and Bruce the bear (characters inspired by the Fischli & Weiss’s movies) are questionning what the human or animal identity is. They want to change something and change themselves. And through these metamorphoses they try to change the world with the help of Oswald de Andrade, Maggie Reilly, Michel Foucault, Heinrich Heine, Kari Weil, Cyprien Gaillard, Coco Rosie, Lucky Dragons.

They used to be on art fairs but it just was not enough.
They used to rule le monde de la haute couture but it just was not enough.
They made stunning experiences in the circus but it just was not enough.
They used to read letters but it just was not enough.

Le rituel

« Le rituel » is a theater piece made by le Collectif Inouite in 2015.

Max & Bruce are back as great gurus. They are creating a new religion by mixing all different beliefs.

Dear Programmers, dear viewers, dear souls in perdition,

Thanks to the new performance of the Collectif Inouite entitled « the ritual », the opportunity will be given to everyone to try to save their soul during a majestic, acclaimed and luminous ceremony.

During an initiation course in the Bernese Emmental, Max the rat and Bruce the bear discovered a vocation as a healer and a great guru respectively.

Through their performance, they will allow spectators to discover their totem animal, and perhaps to embody it in their daily lives.

“To create a rite of encounter with your totem animal, it is not necessary to make a sacrifice. Copying ancient rites that no longer make sense today is ineffective. We can certainly use all the traditions, but it is always a question of giving them an individual, constructive and creative form. »

from “die Botschaft der Krafttiere”

In this contemporary ritual, Max and Bruce will draw inspiration from different beliefs, mythologies and religions and make them a new whole.

The goal of this performance is obviously to create a new supreme religion that will dominate all others and allow animals to finally be able to believe in gods that look like them.

It’s a golden opportunity for you, dear programmers, dear spectators and dear souls in perdition: by programming the ritual of Max and Bruce, you can secure yourself a place in contemporary paradise and, if you give us a of honey and a salametti before the performance, maybe even reincarnating yourself as a rat or a bear.

May your soul rest in peace!

Max & Bruce, Ritual Gurus.
